Open images privately in your browser
Choose an image to create a still preview. Processing stays in your browser; large files may exceed your device’s available memory.
Drag and drop or click to select.
How to preview an image
- Choose one or more image files, or drag them onto the file picker.
- Wait for the image engine to load on your first use. Each readable file gets a preview labelled with its filename.
- If a file fails, read its error message. Try a smaller copy or export a PNG or JPEG from the application that created it.
What the preview shows
This viewer creates a JPEG preview of one image or frame. It does not play animated GIFs, browse all pages of a document, or preserve editable layers and vector objects. Transparency may look different in the JPEG preview. Your original file is unchanged.
Opening files and troubleshooting
Which files should I try first?
PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP and TIFF are useful starting points. A supported extension does not guarantee that every compression variant or damaged file can be decoded. The format links below reflect the browser engine’s input capabilities.
Why will my EPS, AI or PDF not open?
This browser build cannot read PostScript or PDF-based documents. Use the original application to export a PNG or JPEG, then preview that exported image here. Renaming the extension does not convert the file.
Why does a large image fail?
Decoded pixels can require much more memory than the compressed file. Close other tabs or export a smaller image. There is no guaranteed file size that works on every device.
Are my images uploaded?
Image processing happens locally in your browser. The browser downloads the processing engine, but does not send your image contents to our server.
